Per Day Insurance Life Cover


The Per Day Insurance Life Cover Policy has been designed by Softlogic Life Insurance PLC in partnership with BIMA Lanka Insurance Brokers (Pvt) Ltd exclusive for Dialog customers.

Upon registering for the service, you will be entitled to claim a life insurance cover up to Rs. 1.1 million.

This service has been specially designed to provide financial protection to surviving dependents upon the death of the insured.

The basic life insurance cover is available for both Prepaid & Postpaid customers and will only cover the policyholder

The Family Life cover allows the main policyholder to add his/her spouse to the new/existing cover.

*Subscription Fee: Defines the amount that shall be deducted from the customer’s (policyholder’s) mobile bill/connection balance.

For Prepaid Customers

Proportionate charging will be applicable for Prepaid customers according to the date on which the customer gets registered. The cover will be calculated proportionately according to the number of days which the customer has been charged for.

The monthly amount should be fully deducted to be entitled to claim the total cover amount. If the monthly amount is partially deducted, a proportionate amount from the cover will be applicable for the month.

The daily rental is not charged if the recharge is done through Internet recharge cards and Prepaid plans. The applicable daily rental will be deducted from normal recharge cards or reloads only.

Customers will receive a monthly SMS stating the amount of the cover eligible for the month.

For Postpaid Customers

Total charge for the month would be applied from the day that the customer gets registered for the service upon successful deduction of the full premium and the customer will be eligible for the full cover from the next month onwards.

Benefit Commencement

Commencement of the benefit begins after the full payment of the first month’s premium. Once the first month’s premium is fully paid, the policyholder is entitled to the benefits from the first day of the following month. The insurance cover is automatically renewed if the subscriber successfully deducts the premium for any given month.

Nominations

A lump sum amount as per the selected scheme will be payable to the nominated immediate family member* in the unfortunate event of the demise of the policyholder.

*In this instance, an immediate family member refers to a spouse, children, parents and siblings of the customer.

Ceasing of the Policy

The insurance cover will be ceased at the earliest in the case of:

  • The main policy holder(Basic and Family life cover)/spouse(Family life cover) reaching the age limit of the cover.
  • The death of the main policy holder(Basic and Family life cover)/spouse(Family life cover) during the term of policy.
  • Policy renewal date, if not renewed.
  • The Prepaid or Postpaid connection being discontinued.
  • Misrepresentation or fraud.
Claim Procedure

Note - The nominee should notify the Company of the death of the policyholder within 90 days from the date of death and furnish the Company with all the following documents within the subsequent 90 days.

  • Completed claim form
  • Age and identity proof (Copy of NIC) of the deceased
  • Death Certificate
  • Medical reports
  • Post-mortem/ inquest report (If required)
  • Any other requirements requested by Softlogic Life
