Product Introduction

Share Credit is a service that allows users to transfer credit from one Dialog mobile connection to another Dialog mobile connection.

How to Share Credit

In order to utilise the Share Credit Service, users are required to activate the service and register themselves on the system. Once registered, he/she will receive a PIN to perform share credit transactions.

Share credit services can be used via the following self-help mechanisms:

Activation

• SMS → Type EZ and send it to 356.

• USSD → Dial #356# → Select option 2 → Select option 1 or dial #356*2*1#

• The MyDialog self-help mobile app → Share Credit

• ‘MyDialog’ Dialog.lk log in → Share Credit

Deactivation

• SMS: Type ez<space>deact and send it to 356.

• USSD: Dial #356# → Select option 2 → Select option 5 → Select option 1

• The MyDialog self-help mobile app → Share Credit

• ‘MyDialog’ Dialog.lk log in → Share Credit

Charges

• 356 SMS port - SMS charged at Rs.1 +taxes (applicable for both Prepaid and Postpaid).

• #356# USSD – Free of Charge.

• The MyDialog self-help mobile app – Free of Charge.

• The MyDialog Dialog.lk log in – Free of Charge.

Notes

Eligibility criteria

• Prepaid & Postpaid connections are required to be with the network for at least 180 days in order to activate this service.

Credit transfer conditions

• Prepaid connections cannot transfer credit to Postpaid connections.

• Postpaid connections can transfer credit to Prepaid connections.

Value limits

• The maximum amount per month is Rs. 10,000.00 and the minimum amount per month is Rs. 5.00 for both Prepaid and Postpaid connections.

• Maximum transferrable amount per day is Rs. 1,000.00.

• Maximum number of transactions allowed per day is 3 transactions.

Restrictions

• Corporate customers cannot activate the Share Credit Service.

• This service cannot be used while roaming.

• The service is not available for data only connections.

• The sender’s and receiver's connection status should be connected to use the service.

• The user’s current balance should be more than the transfer amount for Prepaid connections.

• This service cannot be used when the credit limit has been exceeded for Postpaid connections.

• Customers with temporary credit limits will not be able to use the service.

• Transferring special reload values via the Share Credit Service will not activate special reload packs. (Ex: A 29/= Data reload will go to the customer’s normal account directly and will not be activated as an internet card. A 198/= IDD reload will go to the customer’s normal account directly and will not activate an IDD offer).
