In line with its continued commitment to empowering Sri Lankan sports and nurturing young talent, Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka's premier connectivity provider, proudly announced its sponsorship of the third edition of the Dialog Junior National Netball Championship. Building upon Sri Lanka's recent triumphs in international netball arenas, this sponsorship underscores Dialog Axiata’s unwavering dedication to supporting the development of future netball stars.

The tournament, organised by the Netball Federation of Sri Lanka (NFSL), is scheduled for February 17th and 18th at the DS Senanayake Grounds in Colombo. The semifinals and the finals are scheduled to be played on 18th February. The Dialog Junior National Netball Championship 2023 targets players who are below the age of 20 from across the country and is one of the major tournaments conducted annually to identify talented players to train them to the next level. The tournament plays a pivotal role in selecting young players for the National Youth team, which will participate in the upcoming Asian Youth Championship and the 2025 World Cup.

As part of its commitment to powering the Junior National Netball Championship, Dialog plans to live-stream the semi-finals and the final through thepapare.com from 12.00 pm onwards, 18th February (Sunday). Additionally, the final match will be broadcast live from 4:30 pm onwards on Dialog Television, channel number 63.

“The national team has improved in leaps and bounds since the last selection process to identify and select junior players to the national team,” said Lakshmi Victoria, President NFSL. She continued, “ I would like to thank Dialog for continuously supporting the NFSL and its players to perform at the international level.”
