Dialog Axiata Extends its Support to the Sri Dalada Perahera for the 17th Consecutive Year

Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka's premier connectivity provider, reaffirms its commitment to preserving and celebrating the country's rich cultural and religious heritage by once again extending its support to the Kandy Esala Perahera, also known as the Sri Dalada Perahera or the Festival of the Tooth. This revered festival, which took place from August 21st to 31st, stands as one of Sri Lanka's oldest and most revered religious celebrations, held annually in the month of Esala.

This grand procession pays homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic and its guardian deities, including Gods Natha, Vishnu, Kataragama, and Goddess Pattini. The procession serves as a collective prayer for abundant rains to nourish crops and ensure the prosperity of the nation.
