5. Why might a website or certain features not load when browsed with Discover?
Discover can be used to browse websites that are available on the internet through your participating mobile operator. As explained in the Discover Technical Information and Implementing a Secure Web-Based Proxy Service for Discover, to provide a web browsing experience that is low-bandwidth and secure, Discover applies certain technical limitations when using free data. These limitations apply equally across all sites browsed with Discover. Examples of reasons that might result in a website not loading include:
- A website’s domain might be unavailable on your mobile operator’s network.
- A website might have an incomplete SSL certificate chain.
- Certain features such as video, audio, streaming, file transfer, and other web technologies listed in the Discover Technical Information are not supported in Discover when using free data.
